Playlist generator

The playlist generator provides you with an easy set-up for new playlists and allows you to manage them. A playlist contains the items to be broadcasted and can be generated manually or automatically. They can be changed at any time. You can schedule a playlist as many days ahead as you like. A playlist contains commands. Commands are items in the playlist that automatically perform certain tasks like controlling external equipment, broadcasting news or broadcasting a series of episodes. For instance, On Air TV Planner can automatically schedule episodes of the same show in the correct order.

Scheduling Rules

With the use of scheduling rules you can manage all the rules that define your playlist. The rules are elaborate en flexible so you can create playlists, which are adjustable to your wishes and those of your viewers. The scheduling rules are basically used to set the rules to which the playlist has to comply. With priority checks you can define which rules have priority over others, so your playlist won’t have internal conflict. You can also create templates to make the scheduling of rules easier and more efficient. Templates are used to indicate at what hour of the day, which rules should be used.

The library has advanced features for the storing of information about the items. With the help of quick search fields or advanced filters, items are easily found.

Break Scheduler

The break scheduler inserts break points into videos to specify the position of commercial breaks. To make sure the commercial break starts at the exact right time in the video, you can preview the video and add cue points manually.
You can also add fillers to the playlist, which it will use automatically to fill up any gaps between videos and commercial breaks.
